Entry # 3 Life Is Full Of Distractions

Hey Fellow Humans, I am back on the social interactions today to talk to you guys about something important. Why are todays kids so attached to their phones? I can understand if its a distraction but there has to be a point to where they get tired of them and put them down. Even worse is when a little kids gets ahold of a cell phone or a tablet or something electronic and gets attached to it but once you try and take it away, its almost like they lose their mind and fall all over the place until they either move on from it or they forget about it. For me I just don't understand why someone is so attached to  something that is technically so small and unimportant. Studies have shone that for some people after leaving their phone either at home or somewhere else they describe the feeling as if it where like a phantom limb, like when someone loses a limb and they still feel like its still there. How about you try and limit your usage throughout the day and see how you feel when your not on your phone, how are you feeling inside? What are you thinking about? Are you bale to comfortably work or are you always distracted? Just try it and you will see just how "addicted" you are to technology.

  1. This reminded me of how my cousins would never be able to put down their phones and Ipads when they got them. I guess it's just a sort of anxiety some people get if they're not able to do something, almost like a nervous tick. People are used to having information available to them at all times now that smartphones exist. To be honest I have never thought of trying to leave my phone at home just to see how I would react during the day, this would be difficult simply because I wouldn't be able to speak to my friends or answer calls from work. Describing it as a phantom limb seems funny but in all honesty that seems factual! I'd like to give this experiment a try just to see if I'm any more distracted at all.

  2. This is so true when it comes to our society. Ive seen kids yell at their parents over them taking their phone away and that should be where they start to draw the line.

  3. Jacob--You have some good points and ideas. You need to keep working to analyze your content more to create more significance for your audience. Provide more support and connection. Don't forget about rhetoric and engaging your audience.

Also, your numbering is all off. This entry should be #2, not #3, and the entry before it should be #1, not #2.
